How can I view my student's current grades?

We use a computerized grading program (Aeries) that allows you to check grades as often as you would like.  The district provides each parent with an AERIES account that allows you to access your student's grades online at any time. Grades are updated regularly, and it is strongly recommended that you check your child's grades at least once a week. Updates to the grade book are made regularly and will be available to view on Aeries.        Click on the button below to link to the Aeries website.

What is Grade First Aid?

Students who receive a score below 70% will have the option of completing Grade First Aid. Grade First Aid (GFA) is an intervention we use to allow students to improve poor test grades. To participate in GFA, students must redo ALL problems they missed on their test. Students who complete GFA can improve their test score up to 70%. Students must schedule a time with the teacher if they wish to earn GFA credit. Test GFA is not available for homework or classwork. Parents are also welcome to set up an appointment with the teacher to come in and view the actual test questions.

How and when will we receive student work and school announcements?

Communication between parent, teacher, and student is important to the overall success of your child.  Weekly folders will be sent home on Thursday for you to review. The folder will contain some completed and graded work, as well as school announcements.  All completed work should be kept in a folder, bag, or box at home until the close of each trimester in the event there is a discrepancy in the grade book. Please look for these folders every Thursday!  The folders need to be returned the next morning (Friday).  Missing folders will result in lunch detenton and a lower citizenship grade.
